Position Summary:

Position primarily responsible for timely payment of vendor invoices and other accounts payable functions.

Position Accountabilities:

Reports to AP Manager.
Opens daily mail.
Input of vouchers, invoices and check requests ensuring accuracy of coding.
Batch keyed invoices for Daily Payment Scheduler.
Match invoices to corresponding check audit report and to check register for accuracy.
Research and resolve credit balances or overpayments.
Resolve items on the Daily Exception Reports on a daily basis.
Coordinate with Department Supervisors/Managers to resolve unmatched/or problem invoices.
Maintenance of unpaid and paid invoices files.
Ensure void checks are properly credited.

Other Position Accountabilities:

Complete other assignments and special projects as assigned by the Controller/CFO.
Timely response to employee and Department Head/Supervisor inquiries.

Minimum Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required.

Preferred Education:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

One year of experience in accounts payable

10-Key by touch, electric typewriter, 40 wpm typing

Two years of general office experience

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation

Los Angeles County Fire Card (obtained within 30 days of hire)
