Financial Analyst II Revenue and Manufacturing

The Financial Analyst II Revenue and Manufacturing (Regional Financial Analyst) is responsible for collecting, analyzing, reporting and interpreting key financial information for decision makers both within and outside of the Finance Department. This position will be responsible for analytics of full P&L, and therefore work within the Manufacturing area supporting a Region of plants, as well as being in charge of Revenue review. This role will be focused on the Water side of the Business.
Essential Functions

Provide financial expertise, analysis, and guidance in direct support of the company's leadership team collaborating with team members at all levels of the company.
Develop financial and data models to aid in better understanding overall financial performance and wealth enhancement, specifically for the Water segment of the business.
Responsible for complex and comprehensive financial activities or functions related to P&L management including ownership, oversight, and support of profitability analysis, operating expense trends, business plan development, budgeting, cost accounting and other areas relating to financial or managerial accounting and analysis.
Assist in the analysis of financial data and extract and define relevant information, specifically for revenue and manufacturing analytics
Retrieves and consolidates data and information as needed for projects/analyses
Work closely with Sales team in regard to profitability of customers and items.
Responsible for analysis of all aspects of revenue, including pricing, allowances, and shipping methods.
Prepares and maintains weekly plant cost analysis reports
Participates in the month-end close process in unison with the Cost Accounting Team
Supports the annual goal setting process and monthly forecasting process, for manufacturing cost and revenue
Identifies areas of improvement in business processes and work with necessary stakeholders to implement positive changes
Manages progress of ongoing internal projects meant to drive efficiencies and save time
Evaluates financial implications of specific business decisions/opportunities and advises management accordingly to ensure financial performance is achieved
Prepares ad hoc analysis and other requests from Plants, Sales and Senior Management
Looks for opportunities that positively impact safety, quality, productivity and cost in the region and conducts frequent meetings with other regions' counterparts to ensure consistency and provide transparency and visibility to the whole network
Assists training manufacturing teams in proper business practices related to cost management and helps bridge communication between manufacturing and other teams across the business
Keeps constant contact with the plants of the respective region and understands and supports daily operations and serves as a liaison between plants and other groups as needed. This includes travel to assigned plants
Helps track total cost of ownership for various projects, investments, activities related to the plant

Competencies

Travel to plants in assigned regions required
Advanced MS Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookup, Sumif, etc)
Proficiency with preparing and modeling financial ratios and analytics
Understanding of Financial statements, revenue, cost and margin
Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
Previous experience with Oracle or other ERP system, preferred
Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work assignments with limited guidance in a changing environment
Strong problem solving/ analytical skills
Ability to seek and obtain information from a wide range of sources and individuals both within, and outside of, the Finance department
Must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately.
