Eleven Recruiting is searching for a CNC Programming Manager to join one of our largest aerospace clients specializing in metallic and composite flight hardware and sub-assemblies. The CNC Programming Manager is going to oversee programming operations, optimize processes, and lead a high-performing team. This role is critical to maintaining the company's reputation for delivering industry-leading products for the space, missile, and hypersonic markets.

Day-to-Day:
- Lead and manage the programming team to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-axis flatbed CNC machines, including both 2D and 3D cuts.
- Oversee the operation of flatbed CNC machines, tooling equipment, and turning centers.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to uphold product integrity.
- Collaborate with R&D and production planning teams to enhance efficiency and minimize waste.
- Plan for machine changeovers and improve equipment flexibility.
- Transition manual programming processes to CAM using SolidWorks and other CAM software.
- Manage tooling requirements, monitor production schedules, and conduct regular inspections.
- Coordinate materials handling and offcut organization to optimize workflow and inventory management.
- Mentor, train, and coach team members, ensuring professional development and adherence to company policies.
- Conduct evaluations, one-on-one meetings, and performance reviews while addressing policy adherence and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with all operational and regulatory standards.
Knowledge and Skills:- Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or related industries.
- Advanced proficiency in CAM programming, tooling, and fabrication processes.
- Strong expertise in SolidWorks and other CAM software (e.g., CATIA, Mastercam preferred).
- Proficiency in G-code programming and multi-axis machining (4 and 5 axis), including sub-spindle and live-tooling lathes.
- Familiarity with machining processes for composite materials and tight-tolerance machining, including GD&T.
- Ability to operate and oversee various CNC machines, including Swiss turning lathes.
- Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and indicators.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
Education and Experience:- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in machine shop, metal fabrication, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Certification in CNC machining or 5+ years of direct CNC programming and machining experience.
- Experience with EPICOR ERP systems preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in a job shop production environment, managing both small and large parts and assemblies.
- Self-starter with a sense of urgency and the ability to work independently.
