We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Workers' Compensation Law Office. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to workers' compensation attorney in various legal matters. This role requires strong organizational skills, computer skills, and proficiency in administrative tasks. Duties
- Job responsibilities will include but not limited to: constant communication with client’s / defense attorney / insurance adjusters. Case managing: schedule MPN medical appointments, AME/ QME. File DOR & Objection, E-filing Applications for Adjudication. Preparing correspondence, requests for SDT, UR & IMR. Prepare files for court hearings.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records for easy retrieval and reference.
- Provide executive administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Prepare and file documents with courts.
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on case status.
- Perform clerical duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a workers' compensation law office is required.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Type: Temporary for potential to Permanent
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour based on experience
Expected hours: 25- 30 hrs per week
