D’Andrea Visual Communications, LLC (DVC) is a Southern California based printing company that provides a wide range of products and services to its clients through its grand format digital printing, sheetfed offset lithographic printing, and small format digital printing capabilities. We also compliment these capabilities with in-house metal fabrication of lightboxes and pillow frames along with kitting and fulfillment. We are currently looking to add to our team of Project Managers.
The Project Manager position works directly with our customers and account executives to ensure jobs are estimated quickly and correctly before turning them into jobs for production to manufacture. The responsibilities of this position are often interchangeable with the positions of Customer Service Representative (CSR), Production Planner, or Project Coordinator. The details of these responsibilities are listed below.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive specifications from customers and account executives and create an estimate using our MIS/ERP software, ePS Pace.
- Create jobs from estimates and generate a job ticket, or work order, for production.
- Add all relevant job information to the work order including file information, special instructions, due dates, and shipping information.
- Receive incoming files from customers and generate a customer proof using our automated proofing system.
- Keep customers and account executives updated on their jobs’ status.
- Participate in daily production meetings with the project management team and production managers.
- Communicate materials needed for each job to the purchasing department so they can be pulled from inventory or ordered.
- When applicable, source and manage outside installation services for your projects.
- Generate final invoices for your projects and submit them for approval.
Qualifications:
- Two or more years’ experience as a Project Manager, CSR, or similar position in a printing environment.
- A strong working knowledge of all aspects of digital grand format printing.
- Ability to learn, identify, and distinguish common grand format printing materials.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers and account executives.
- Strong Mac or PC computer skills including the ability to type 50+ wpm and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Ability to work under pressure while adhering to tight deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan your workload effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude when working with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and upper management both orally and in writing.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing duties of this job you are regularly required to walk, sit, stand, talk and hear. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. You must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a combination of office and manufacturing area, and may require significant time sitting at a desk, using a computer. There will occasionally be exposure to loud noise, fumes, dust and moving equipment in the manufacturing area.
About the Position:
