Position Summary:
The Retail Merchandising & Operations Associate will play a key role in-store setup, inventory management, and merchandising execution to ensure a seamless shopping experience. This role is ideal for someone with fashion retail experience who understands visual merchandising, stock replenishment, and sales data analysis. Its a hands-on, execution-focused role requiring both operational efficiency and an eye for merchandising details. Based in Fullerton, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Merchandising & Product Display
- Assist in product shelving, store layouts, and promotional display setups to optimize customer experience.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure consistency with brand guidelines.
- Adjust and update product displays based on sales trends and customer behavior.
- Inventory & Stock Replenishment
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely restocking of shelves.
- Assist in inventory organization, tracking product movement, and managing stock accuracy.
- Work with the store team to prevent stock shortages and overstock issues.
- Store Operations
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the POS system to ensure seamless transactions.
- Support cash wrap procedures and ensure compliance with store transaction policies.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track sales trends, inventory turnover, and customer purchasing patterns.
- Provide insights to improve product placement and sales strategies.
- Assist in store performance reporting and suggest improvements based on data insights.
- Store Layout & Functional Area Planning
- Help with store layout planning, ensuring optimal product flow and customer navigation.
- Assist in setting up functional store areas (cash wrap, fitting rooms, promotional sections, etc.).
Requirements:
- 2+ years of retail experience, preferably in fashion retail or merchandising.
- Strong understanding of store layout, visual merchandising, and inventory flow.
- Basic data analysis skills (Excel, POS sales tracking, or retail analytics software).
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Flexible availability.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is preferred.
