Job Summary:
GEM Plumbing Heating & Air is seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair various HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation systems, and refrigeration units
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Conduct regular maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new HVAC systems
- Test HVAC systems for proper functioning and perform necessary adjustments
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant codes and regulations
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of proven experience as an HVAC Technician or Installer
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems
- Proficient in reading wire schematics
- Ability to service, repair, install, plumb, weld, and maintain HVAC equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify issues and provide effective solutions
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical components of HVAC systems
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
