Job Title: Structures Mechanic
Job Description
As a Structures Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and replacing aircraft sheet metal structures such as main landing gear fittings, aircraft skins, and floor beams. You will work in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies and procedures. Your role will involve reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine the sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products.
Responsibilities
- Research technical data and perform inspection, repair, and replacement of aircraft sheet metal structures.
- Plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts, equipment, and products.
- Select gauge and type of sheet metal or nonmetallic material according to product specifications.
- Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material using scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
- Perform maintenance work such as repair and maintenance of company equipment and shop housecleaning.
- Make appropriate entries in Component Removal Log and complete identification tags and repairable/parts routing tags upon removing components from aircraft.
- Ensure proper documentation on training records for training received and sign routine and non-routine work cards.
Essential Skills
- 1-5+ years of experience in aircraft sheet metal work.
- Experience with commercial aircraft, larger than a CRJ 900, Boeing, and Airbus preferred.
- Valid Driver's license.
- Basic set of tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with sheet metal repair, riveting, drilling, and assembly.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and sheet metal fabrication techniques.

Work Environment
The role requires sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods. You will frequently bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, balance, and reach above shoulder level, with occasional crawling, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 50lbs unassisted. This position requires eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing to normal range. You will operate equipment such as hydraulic press brakes, power shears, forming equipment, hand tools, lift equipment, stands, ladders, glass beading equipment, rivet guns, and drills. The work location is primarily the B777 Cargo Conversion Program, but you may be asked to work property-wide. Potential hazards include exposure to high-intensity noise levels, extreme temperature changes, materials identified on Safety Data Sheets, working at unprotected heights or around moving machinery, and aircraft fuel tank entry. Protective equipment such as goggles, safety glasses, face shields, ear protection, aprons, gloves, and safety harnesses is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marana, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $45.00/hr.
