Job Summary:
This position is for "Engineering Development Technician" with capabilities of performing experimentation product assembly and possessing such skills as fitting/ fabrication of ducting assemblies and sub- assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply experience to perform product assembly with respect to aircraft standards, Arrowhead and/or customer specifications.
- Work in tandem with production organization to reconfigure fixtures, tools, and shop aids, and build planning as required to streamline metal assemblies build processes and sequence.
- Will perform fitting/fabrication per engineering specifications.
- Will develop fabrication techniques of ducting assemblies & subassemblies from engineering specifications as well as determine appropriate manufacturing sequences.
- Work with Development Lab supervision and lab personnel to achieve labor efficient standards compliant to engineering requirements.
- Work in tandem with engineering staff to successfully develop work instructions and shop aids.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the effects of heat on products for all required weld operations.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the class of metal assembly necessary to produce parts to engineering requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate all equipment associated with the development of assembly techniques.
- Will maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, FOD-free fashion and adhere to all Safety standards.
- Will provide training to Arrowhead personnel, including production employees in skill sets associated with their position.

Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or its equivalent; previous experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Minimum 10 years of sheet metal fabrication and/or manufacturing work experience required.

- Ability to perform training.

- Must be able to use standard manufacturing measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; including engineering documentation.
- Ability to learn tack welding or experience with tack welding preferred.
