Overview
The Ontario Airport Hotel is under new ownership and is currently undergoing a full renovation to transform our 309-room property into a premier destination for travelers. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HVAC to join our team. As a Hotel Engineer , you will be responsible for ensuring the hotel’s facilities, guest rooms, and common areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment to identify issues and implement solutions.
- Perform necessary repairs on HVAC appliances and components to ensure efficient operation
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel property to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and operates at peak efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs, inspections, and inventory.
- Assist with special projects, renovations, and hotel improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and comfort.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of engineering processes and results.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices within the work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a hospitality environment.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures and practices, particularly in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot various systems and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in maintenance or related fields is a plus (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

Availability: The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands
