Job Posting: Account Manager – Ulta & Department Store Distribution
Position Overview
Beauty 21 Cosmetics is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to lead and expand our strategic partnerships with Ulta and department store retailers. This role plays a pivotal part in driving growth, market expansion, and revenue success.
You will be responsible for shaping and executing the US retail and wholesale business strategy, ensuring Beauty 21 meets its revenue targets. Success in this role requires deep analytical skills, including POS evaluation, P&L modeling, cost analysis, and monthly performance tracking against forecasts.
In collaboration with retail partners and internal teams, you will drive sales growth, optimize margins, and enhance forecasting and planning processes. This position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for the beauty industry and strong experience managing Ulta accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Retail & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Ulta and key department store accounts.
- Build and maintain strong retailer relationships, understanding their goals, market conditions, competitive activities, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement customized sales and business plans aligned with corporate objectives.
- Drive sell-through by collaborating with retailers to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Sales Planning & Analytics
- Develop and manage account-specific stock and sales plans to meet financial goals.
- Monitor wholesale sales, inventory levels, and retailer activity to optimize sales and brand positioning.
- Lead annual joint business planning, ensuring alignment between Beauty 21 and retail partners.
- Own forecasting, analyzing shipment and consumption patterns to improve demand planning.
- Provide wholesale and POS forecasts, account reporting, and sales analysis to drive insights and action.
Strategic Growth & Financial Management
- Manage key elements of the P&L Scorecard, improving performance through return reduction and cost control.
- Optimize trade fund investments to drive business efficiency.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business reviews, offering strategic recommendations.
- Analyze business performance, identifying growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Oversee retailer agreements, including terms, space allocation, promotions, and pricing strategy.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Trade teams to ensure the execution of trade marketing and promotional plans.
- Support new business expansion into additional retailers and distribution channels.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Have:
- 4+ years of direct experience managing Ulta accounts (mandatory).
- National account management experience in beauty or CPG brands preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales growth plans.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, forecasting, and promotional ROI analysis.
- Deep understanding of retailer funding models, space productivity metrics, and merchandising strategies.
- Demonstrated success in retailer negotiations and achieving sales KPIs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, or Sally Beauty.
- Previous business development experience in the U.S. beauty industry.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, SKU rationalization, and channel expansion.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM.
