Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Laser / Turret Punch Press Programmer CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in programming Laser / Turret Punch Press machines for sheet metal fabrication, creating efficient and accurate Flat Pattern Layouts programs, and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize Laser / Turret Punch Press programs for sheet metal fabrication.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to create accurate sheet metal flat pattern programs.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to ensure seamless workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues.
- Maintain and update programming documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Programmer.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MetalSoft/AP100, Mazak Smart Systems/Radan).
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Open knowledge use of creative arts applications importing, exporting, and modifying Illustrator, Corel, Photoshop, AI, PNG, JPG etc. to programmable DWG/DXF files.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, bilingual is a plus.
- Produce and provide a portfolio of previous skills upon the interviewing process.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CNC machine operation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Certification in sheet metal fabrication or related field.
