SUMMARY Sets up and operates Spin Forming Machine to spin (form) shaped articles from sheet or plate metal, using blueprints and knowledge of physical properties of metal
RESPONSIBILITIES- Sets up and operates Spin Forming Machine to spin (form) shaped articles from sheet or plate metal, using blueprints and knowledge of physical properties of metal
- Learn, as required, and perform powered spinning and CNC spinning metal forming
- Learn as required and perform CNC programing for the CNC spin forming machine
- Identify and eliminate process waste, streamline production process, and enable continual improvement
- Keep machine fixtures clean and stored properly
- Maintain and Realize AS 9100 procedures and continuous improvement efforts
- Interact daily with Program Managers, and Supervisors to support production requirements.
- Must understand how customer products are impacted in the event of failure
- Any other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Four (4) year degree or equivalent in machine shop/metal fabrication and spin forming machining
- At least one year of experience in planning
- Adequate years of experience in a manufacturing environment and / or training in a related field
- Must be detail oriented, extremely organized; posses excellent communication skills, and be able to interact well with Suppliers and Staff
- Basic computer skills including working knowledge and experience with word, spreadsheets and databases
- Knowledge of materials, hardware, specifications (military, ms, ns, etc.), processes (heat treat, plating, machining, etc.)
- Must have direct communication with internal customers
- Must be trained of applicable changes & customer requirements
- Must know the QMS basic system of reporting, record keeping and follow instructions
