Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a Premier Metal Stamping and Manufacturing company in its search for a Stamping Engineer in the city of Brea, CA. This is a Direct Hire position and offers 1st shift. Salary 110k to 120k, awesome benefits and room for growth
Job Description Summary: Design progressive, compound dies in addition to plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes for stamping machines.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, Authorities:
- Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods
- Design metal stamping dies, using SOLIDWORKS with Logopress
- Research and design manufacturing processes
Analyze and plan:
- Workforce utilization
- Space requirements
- Workflow
- Design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
Estimate:
- Production times
- Staffing requirements
- Related costs
- Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements
- Address customer inquiries
- Develop tools to produce parts in alignment with customer and quality requirements
- Troubleshoot stamping dies and processes
- Any other duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, abilities, other:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in stamping, preferably metal manufacturing
Knowledge of:
- Tooling design
- Materials and parts in the metal fabrication process
- Tooling and production equipment capabilities
- Assembly methods
- GD&T
- AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS with Logopress or similar 2D and 3D CAD software
- Critical-thinking skills
- Strong math skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Good listening skills
