Position Summary
Physicians Formula is an innovative cosmetic brand with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial spirit. Launching first-to-mass in Bronzers, Minerals, and Organics has helped the brand become a leader in healthy innovation and one of the fastest-growing masstige brands in the cosmetic industry. We are looking for a strong Manager, Product Marketing who has an eye for creativity and innovation, balanced with the attention to detail needed to launch products in a timely basis.
The Manager, Product Marketing will report to the AVP, Product Marketing PF and is responsible for the product development process of new and existing products, from strategy and concept, to launch of products in line with brand equity and goals. This person is accountable for timely, high-quality launches, with the scope of formulation, shade development, packaging, product copy, pricing, and COGs management. The Manager, Product Marketing will actively seek out new trends and opportunities that will further support and provide growth to the brand.
Essential Tasks, Duties, & Responsibilities

Conceptualize and brainstorm new products through meetings with the overall Marketing, R&D, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams; also by attending trade shows and conducting competitive shopping and trend research.

Lead the briefing process for new product launches with internal cross-functional teams and external suppliers, assuring clear communication on spec sheets, benchmarks, and timelines.

Ensure progress of submissions until desired attributes and performance are achieved.

Work with R&D, Sourcing, and Operations to ensure timely submissions, approvals, testing, and troubleshooting any production issues.

Develop and maintain budgets, product volume forecast, and Cost of Goods targets.

Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to ensure cohesive product presentation, packaging execution, and communication on the cosmetics wall.

Responsible for timely delivery of samples for retailer meetings, PR events, advertising, and communications development.

Develop and maintain pricing strategy for North America (US and Canada).

Liaise with the International team to ensure products are globally compliant.

Ensure brand message and product benefit points of difference are appropriately reflected in packaging copy and design.

Evaluate competitive new products and present comprehensive analysis.

Conduct product post-launch analyses for SKU rationalization and product assortment strategy

Present at internal sales and external retailer meetings.

Travel to factories and outside vendors (US and International) for development/shade matching/approval of new product concepts.

Field products and concepts through market research and solicit sales feedback to further improve product offering, concepts, and formulas.

Manage, coach, and develop product marketing talent.

Perform other assigned duties as needed and directed by management.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience

Bachelors degree in marketing or related field.

Minimum of 4 years of work experience.

FDM Color Cosmetic experience a must.
