What You'll Do:
We are hiring a new Credit Representative in Irwindale, CA! The Credit Representative supports the Credit Manager in credit extension decisions, as well as monitoring Accounts Receivable in order to maximize profits, while at the same time managing the risk of loss. The Credit Representative should work to recommend improvement of the collections procedures to resolve customer and company receivable issues. This position has high-volume account management dealing with credit and collections. This position requires someone who is self-motivated and can work in an extremely fast paced and deadline oriented department. Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers, sales, and division personnel. Individual must pay close attention to detail and have the ability to understand the overall goals and processes of the company with a strong drive to succeed. This Credit Rep must have the motivation to improve the effectiveness of the credit function and the willingness and ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Account Management. Approve or decline new accounts. Keep sales personnel and Credit Manager updated on potential credit issues.
Correspondence. Perform collection calls and correspondence in a fast paced goal oriented fashion. Handles daily customer calls in reference to a range of requests including requests for copies of invoices, tickets, billing errors, lien waiver requests, COD status, credit reference requests and any additional assistance to answer customer inquiries.
Manage Billing Issues. Coordinates with customer service personnel billing related issues such as pricing problems.Relays findings to sales and customer service personnel in order to insure timely resolution to billing errors. Assist ARS in researching misapplication of payments received.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills You'll Need:
Education. High School degree required. Courses in accounting, finance or related fields are desirable. Any Credit Certifications are a plus.
Experience. Individuals should have 1-3 years' experience in credit and / or billing related responsibilities.
Teamwork. Must be flexible and a team player.Establish trust and good working relationship with team members.Team members include Division Management, Sales, Account Receivable Services and credit personnel across Division lines.
Functional Knowledge. Knowledge of collection procedures.Must be able to make collection calls in a fast paced goal oriented credit department. Must be familiar with legal aspects of credit, collections, and construction or willingness to learn.
Customer Service Skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal, in an open, candid and consistent manner with both internal and external customers.
Technology Skills.Proficiency in Excel and Word.
Communication Skills. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with customers and staff.
Time Management. Must be self-motivated and able to initiate and take action based on circumstances.Collaborates with others to address issues that arise. Must be able to work independently and make decisions based on information available.

Salary Range.The base salary range for this role is between $78,702 and $84,500 annually. This range does not include our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider several factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
