Job Summary
Essence Health and Urogynecology seeks a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be Armenian-speaking, though this is not required. You must have a desire to work with diverse patients in a hybrid boutique/hospital-based setting. Shifts include 1-hour lunch.

Duties

Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients using electronic health records (Optimantra)
Review patient medical records to verify diagnoses and procedures for proper coding.
Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and appeals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices.
Handle medical collections by following up on outstanding accounts and resolving discrepancies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate documentation of services rendered.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to medical billing.

Experience

Recent graduates welcome to apply, though experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures.
Strong understanding of medical coding systems, including ICD-10.
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations is essential.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work with a team.
Dependable to work independently if remote/hybrid option preferred

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
