About the Position:

We are a solo immigration law practice in Los Angeles, CA, seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Legal Assistant to join our team part-time. The firm handles a mix of family-based and employment-based petitions for both immigrants and nonimmigrants, as well as some EOIR (immigration court) filings.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in immigration law while working in a supportive, professional, and steady-paced environment. You’ll work directly with the attorney, who is committed to mentoring and providing clear guidance on case matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications (I-130, I-485, I-765, I-131, I-140, H-1B, TN, E-1, E-2, L-1, Labor Certification, etc.)
Assist with EOIR filings including motions, applications, and hearing prep
Organize and maintain physical and digital client files
Draft cover letters, declarations, and exhibit lists
Communicate with clients regarding case status and required documents
Calendar deadlines and ensure timely filings
Computer literate

Requirements:

At least 1–2 years of experience in immigration law (family, employment-based (PERM), and EOIR)
Familiarity with USCIS, NVC, and EOIR procedures and filings
Excellent writing and organizational skills
Professional communication and client service approach
Ability to work independently with support from the attorney
Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required
