Medical Receptionist
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90033 (100% onsite)
Duration: 13 weeks (high potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts
Pay: $25/hour

About the Role:

Join a strong, established team in a fast-paced outpatient rehabilitation environment at a renowned private university. This role offers a dynamic mix of administrative support and patient interaction, making it an excellent opportunity for someone with prior medical front office experience looking to contribute to a respected healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support to the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy and Clinical Supervisors.
Manage daily operations for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy departments.
Handle confidential information, compose and proofread correspondence, and distribute materials.
Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars for the department.
Prepare statistical reports and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate outpatient therapy services, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient intake.
Ensure timely billing and maintain accurate patient records.
Establish and maintain professional and service-oriented relationships with patients and healthcare teams.
Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and assist with special projects as needed.

Must-Have Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Professional appearance and communication skills.
Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with insurance verification.
Familiarity with Cerner documentation.
Ability to multitask and handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
Previous medical front office experience (minimum of 1 year).
