Job Title: Sr. Project Manager, Clinical (Inpatient/Ambulatory Portfolios)
Location: Remote (PST Hours)
Duration: 12-Month Contract (with potential for extension)
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $75-88/HR
Job Summary:
On behalf of our client, a leading private university in Los Angeles, CA, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Project Manager, Clinical to join our team. This role requires extensive knowledge in project management, complex healthcare business operations, and organizational collaboration across various functional areas. You should have strong critical thinking and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to independently build business relationships with a consultative approach.
You will engage in executive-level and department-level discussions while managing project plans, ensuring milestones are met, and maintaining overall communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:- Work independently and demonstrate leadership in various project scenarios.
- Translate strategies and policies into specific goals, action plans, and deliverables.
- Drive strategic alignment of projects with enterprise-wide business objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration between project sponsors, teams, business, and clinical stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day project activities and provide regular status reporting.
- Oversee business-critical strategic projects from conceptualization to implementation and closure.
- Apply PM best practices and rigor across all project deliverables while promoting EMPO project management standards.
- Lead the requirements gathering process, covering both business and technical aspects.
- Facilitate technical design and build processes with multiple partners while ensuring business outcomes are met.
- Ensure proper testing and acceptance of solutions with internal, business, and clinical partners.
- Proactively identify, manage, and address change management challenges.
- Lead Operational Readiness, including transition plans, productivity dips, standard operating procedures, and downtime procedures.
- Develop and execute enterprise-level communication plans.
Required Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of IT Project Management experience.
- Clinical Project Management experience required.
- Experience working on projects in a hospital or health system IT environment.
- Strong background in business process documentation and redesign across multiple functional areas.
- Experience with implementing Business and Practice Management, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), or Call Center Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in either a physician office or hospital setting.
- Experience managing RAID logs and resolving escalations with stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities with keen attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Strong executive-level communication skills, with the ability to create and present materials.
- Ability to effectively execute in a remote workforce environment, building relationships and driving outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:- PMP, Six Sigma, Agile training, or certifications preferred.
- Experience in Imaging (Radiology/Cardiology) is a plus.
- Budgeting experience, including Capital vs. Operating expenses knowledge.
