Without the strength of our programming team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service we’re known for. We’re seeking an experienced CNC Programming Manager. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a CNC Programming Manager.
Supervise daily operations of the programming team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure product specifications are met. Oversee the operation of various milling and turning machines, providing guidance on best practices. Lead Programmer for various milling and turning machines, collaborating with R&D and production planning to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Plan for changeovers and improve equipment flexibility. Engage in manual programming using Catia and Vericut, along with other CAM software to bring designed products to completion. Manage tooling requirements, monitor production schedules, conduct regular inspections, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Conduct evaluations, manage policy adherence, and mentor, train, and coach associates.

· - Lead and manage departmental staff to achieve production targets and maintain quality standards.
· - Program: all 3-axis, 5-axis and turning CNC machines then verify with Vericut.
· - Oversee the operation of machinery, flatbed cnc machines and tooling equipment.
· - Ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
· - Implement quality control measures to maintain product integrity throughout the manufacturing process.
· - Coordinate materials handling processes to ensure efficient workflow and inventory management. Coordinate and organize offcuts.
· - Conduct regular training sessions for staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality standards.
· - Proven experience in a manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
· - Familiarity with machining processes for a number of different composite materials
· - Strong understanding of quality control principles and practices.
· - Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions effectively.
· - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team.
· - Proficiency in using various hand tools related to manufacturing processes.
· Conduct evaluations, periodic 1:1s, manage policy adherence, and related disciplinary actions as needed.
· Mentor, train, and coach associates.
· Any other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Proven experience in a supervisory role within a factory or manufacturing setting.
· Strong knowledge of CAM programming, tooling, and fabrication processes.
· Proficiency in using SolidWorks and other CAM software.
· Familiarity with operating turning centers, CNC machines, Swiss Turning lathes, and other relevant machinery.
· Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and indicators.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
· Four (4) year degree or equivalent in machine shop/metal fabrication/aerospace manufacturing
· Adequate years of experience in a manufacturing environment and / or training in a related field.
· Experience with EPICOR preferred.
· Certification in CNC machining or 5+ years of experience.
· 5 or more years' experience operating a CNC machining center in a job shop production environment.
· Ability to influence and collaborate with all levels of the organization.
· Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing, in person, and by phone.
· Proficient skill with writing and understanding G-Code and CAD/CAM programming software, (CATIA, Mastercam; Preferred).
· Experience with multi-axis machining, (4 and 5 axis), sub spindle and lathe live tooling.
· In-depth experience with tight tolerance machining and GD&T.
· Experience working with small /large parts and assemblies.
· Self-starter with the ability to work independently and react quickly to changing priorities. A sense of urgency is a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· This position operates in a professional office environment.
· This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
· No travel is required for this position.
