Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Assistant to support our team in various administrative and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, along with excellent organizational skills. This role is essential for maintaining efficient operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in bank reconciliation and ensure accuracy of account balances.
- Support accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking.
- Contribute to budgeting activities by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Engage in corporate accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Aid in financial report writing, summarizing key data for management review.
- Collaborate on governmental accounting projects as needed, adhering to specific guidelines.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliation to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Maintain organized records and files for easy retrieval and reference.
Experience
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a financial or accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and practices, including bank reconciliation and budgeting.
- Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and general ledger reconciliation is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and collaboration with team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
