Fast-Paced and Dynamic Property Management company is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate financial record keeping, and providing support to the finance department. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Financial Transaction Recording:
- Accurately record various financial transactions, such as sales, purchases, receipts, and payments, into the accounting system.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and proper classification of all transactions.
General Ledger Maintenance:
- Manage and update the general ledger to accurately reflect the current financial status of the organization.
- Reconcile accounts regularly and promptly address any discrepancies.
Bank Reconciliation:
- Conduct thorough reconciliation of bank statements with the general ledger to guarantee precision.
- Identify and promptly rectify any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide regular financial reports to management for informed decision-making.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Efficiently manage accounts payable, recording and processing bills in a timely manner.
- Handle accounts receivable, invoicing, and diligently track customer payments.
Expense Management:
- Monitor and track business expenses, ensuring strict adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Streamline the reconciliation and processing of employee expense reports.
Compliance and Record-Keeping:
- Stay abreast of accounting regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain well-organized financial records for audits and financial reviews.
Communication:
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and promptly resolve discrepancies.
- Clearly communicate financial information to relevant stakeholders, fostering effective cross-departmental collaboration.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficient in accounting software (Yardi) and MS Office applications.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
