Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm
As an Environmental Compliance Coordinator, you will:
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Manage programs related to underground/aboveground storage tanks (UST/AST), hazardous materials, hazardous waste, spill prevention (SPCC), and stormwater management (SWPPP).
- Coordinate Inspections & Testing: Work with external service providers to complete inspections, testing, and maintenance.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Track permits, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure regulatory deadlines are met.
- Manage Reporting: Submit required compliance reports to agencies such as CUPA, Air Quality Districts, DTSC, and EPA.
- Internal Communication: Develop and share policies, educate site personnel, and provide regulatory documentation during audits or inspections.
- Address Compliance Issues: Investigate and remediate compliance concerns, manage corrective actions, and track resolution through work orders.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in environmental compliance or UST/AST program management.
- Familiarity with UST/AST regulations, hazardous materials handling, and reporting requirements.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail.
- Experience working with third-party service providers and compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, absorb technical information, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
