The Merchandising Specialist (Planogram/Displays) at Beauty 21 is responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of planograms, fixtures and POP displays within the merchandising environment.
In this role, the successful candidate will act as subject matter expert for visual merchandising activities, including designing displays to ensure attractive & strategic placement at store level.
You will help make merchandising decisions by analyzing & interpreting sales data. The individual must possess an expertise in adjusting planograms and using merchandising tools to optimize the shopping experience and drive sales.
Responsibilities:
A Merchandising Specialist (Planogram/Displays) is responsible for designing planograms and displays that optimize product placement on store shelves, ensuring that products are displayed attractively, efficiently, and incompliance with company standards.
- Analyze available shelf space and recommend adjustments to maximize sales and visual appeal, taking into consideration product sizes and sales data.
- Analyzing sales figures and market trends to anticipate customer needs
- Use sales and inventory data to make informed decisions about planogram adjustments, product assortment, and shelving strategies to drive sales and profitability.
- Ensure that planograms are implemented correctly, and work to maintain visual merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales to align displays with marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Utilize tools to create, update, and maintain planograms and displays efficiently.
- Identify and resolve issues related to planogram and display execution.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in design and visual merchandising to continually improve planogram effectiveness.
- Ensure that planograms and displays adhere to company policies, pricing strategies, and product placement guidelines.
- Generate and analyze reports on performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines design challenges creatively, providing unique and effective solutions

Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or related field
Minimum Experience required:
· 5 + years working in creative visual merchandising role, ideally within the retail, fashion or beauty industry
· Understand the products and display styles to help their customers choose the right fixture for their needs
· Analytical mind because data helps identify shifts and trends in the market to make recommendations on display
Skills Required:
- Proven working experience in visual merchandising
- Strong proficiency in graphic design and visual content creation
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong understanding of retail fixture design and production processes
- Highly self-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining consistent work habits.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Expertise in AutoCAD for technical drawings & 3D modeling experience is a plus
- Experience in display design, especially in-store & exhibition
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard
- Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong listening, presentation and decision-making skills
- Commercial acumen and the ability to “decode” customers
Essential Functions:
- Support new global launches with counter displays or promotional display vehicles
- Coordinate the annual or bi-annual inline reset of retailer’s fixtures by partnering with internal sales account leads
- Assist with promotional display fixture needs, specifically coordinating with 3rd party vendors, domestically and overseas
- Help make fixture recommendations for retailer resets
- Manage 3rd party display vendors – concepting displays, negotiating pricing, and approving for production
- Responsible for creating excitement at store level through innovative displays and visual graphics
- May occasionally need to go offsite for store checks and implementation of displays.

Salary Range: $65-$70K ($31.00/hour - $33.00/hour)
