The Shift Lead is an ambassador for our mission to empower guests' wellness journeys. They provide a best-in-class guest experience through sharing superior knowledge of our products and their passion for wellness. In addition to providing impeccable service, they are responsible for guest-centric selling, completing orders, processing transactions, and carrying out the daily procedures of their retail store location.
Key Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to
- Drive company sales growth and profitability through guest-centric selling, teamwork, superior product knowledge, and an impeccable guest experience.
- Role model the selling process to ensure goals are met during shifts.
- Ability to foster a guest-focused selling culture; model the sales & service experience.
- Provide individual and team performance feedback to managers.
- Role model elevated team performance in the moment to maximize team selling potential. Communicate the company goals and expectations clearly with all team members on every shift.
- Support onboarding of new employees by role modeling company standards and expectations.
- Be a brand ambassador; support community engagement and local store marketing partnerships to increase brand visibility.
- Support order and inventory processes where applicable.
- Freeze stores: Cut, prepare, and serve products. Clean equipment and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Effective management of third-party vendors.
- Enroll all guests in our Loyalty Program.
- Active & engaged product sampling throughout all day parts.
- Share guest feedback with the store manager regarding product requests, concerns, and suggestions.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including executing bank deposits, receiving shipments, and disseminating company directives. Maintain store appearance and cleanliness standards.
- Lead by example - communicate company policy and model a safe & respectful work environment for all team members.
- Other job-related duties as requested.
- Maintain product and company knowledge, including product ingredients and allergens.
- Utilize POS and related computer systems to ensure efficiency.
- Maintain sales floor coverage and follow posted schedules.
- Work a schedule that aligns with business needs; this can include all day parts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Passion, knowledge, and interest in health, fitness, and/or wellness.
- Ability to build guest relationships and deliver exceptional service.
- Possess a relentless ability to achieve results.
- Ability to quickly adapt & embrace new procedures, processes, and shifts to priorities.
- Proven success in achieving goals through guest-centric selling.
- Excellent team player with the ability to lead & work independently.
- Strong verbal & written communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Keen understanding of sales principles and guest service practices.
- Previous retail, restaurant, or hospitality leadership experience preferred. Previous cash handling and POS experience.
- Ability to move and/or lift up to 50 pounds.
- A California Food Handler Card or applicable state-specific requirement is preferred at the time of hire.
- Hours vary Monday - Sunday, days, evenings, and weekends. Must have flexible availability, including holidays
