Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with fuel purchases and other inquiries.
- Operate cash registers and POS systems accurately to process transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station, including fueling areas, convenience store, and restrooms.
- Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are displayed neatly and are easily accessible.
- Conduct product demonstrations to promote new items or special offers.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and customers.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience operating cash registers or POS systems is preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
- Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
