What You’ll Do: Under the direction of the Director of Business Services, is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services that includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures for the community.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review invoices and check requests then batch, code and input into the accounting system for timely payment processing.
- Maintains validity of vendor information in the accounting system and ensures receipt of proper documentation.
- Resolves accounts payable issues with vendors and community staff.
- Works with corporate A/P to reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger and assists with month-end closing.
- Deposits any checks or cash received
- Updates resident daily census in the event that the Director of Business Services.
- Clerical duties including filing invoices and checks copies.
The Skills You’ll Need: Proficiency in Microsoft Office required and 10-key by touch with the ability and willingness to learn new software, as needed. Must be detailed-oriented and organized.Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess strong customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, governmental agencies, and the general public. Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing sound accounting techniques. Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing accounting practices. Must possess the ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports. Must be able to prepare financial and other records in a systematic, neat and legible manner
