We are hiring a Fabrication Technician to join our team! The Fabrication Technician will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, responsible for fabricating, assembling, and testing components using a variety of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for precision work, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, maintain and clean manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair any mechanical failures
- Complete work orders and requests in a timely fashion
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to fabricate and assemble components accurately. Operate fabrication machinery, such as cutting, bending, and welding equipment, to shape and form materials.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, grinding, and finishing.
- Perform accurate measurements and ensure precise alignment and fitment of parts and materials.
- Assemble fabricated components using various techniques, including welding, brazing, fastening, and adhesives.
- Conduct quality inspections of fabricated and assembled components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and address minor issues with equipment, tools, or processes to maintain efficient operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to provide input on design and manufacturing improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and promoting a safe work environment.
- Follow established procedures for waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Document work activities, including materials used, production quantities, and any deviations from specifications.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication processes and product quality. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Two years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or a similar technical role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using various hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Basic knowledge of fabrication techniques, such as welding, cutting, bending, and assembling.
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for precision and accuracy.
