Experienced Precision GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG) Welder/Fabricator
Precision AS9100 Aerospace Sheet Metal Fabricator is seeking and experienced Welder with 5 plus year experience. Must be able to weld and fit complex assemblies consisting of sheet metal, machined components, tubing and fittings. Must be able to hold tight tolerances, read blueprints and follow written weld procedures. Must be able to design and build complex fixtures as needed. Aerospace welding experience a plus.
Responsibilities:
TIG and MIG weld thin~thick gage aluminum, stainless steel and carbon steel;
Familiar with welding procedures and Specifications i.e. D1.1, D1.6 etc.
Read CAD drawings including weld symbols;
Knowledge of filler material for aluminum, stainless steel and steel alloys;
Inspect work using blueprints and precision measuring tools;
Knowledge of welding sequences, fixtures and procedures;
Perform process inspection and documentation;
Finish products using brush, grind or sanding tools;
Set-up and operate resistance (spot) welding equipment is a plus;
Maintain welding equipment and machinery as required.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience;
Must be able to design and build complex fixtures as needed.
Must be able to consistently hold tight tolerances up to +/- .010”
Must be able to pass required welding certifications as needed.
Must be able to read, understand and follow detailed welding procedures.
Ability to work flexible hours to support overtime requirements;
Able to work and produce effectively with minimal supervision;
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization;
Able to lift 25 pounds consistently without assistance, 75 pounds occasionally with assistance;
