We are a boutique law firm in the San Gabriel area that specializes in a select number of high-value matters. We are currently looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our team and contribute to our continued success.
Paralegal Duties:
Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy, consistency in formatting, and proper grammar and punctuation.
Prepare Table of Contents (TOC), Table of Authorities (TOA), and Proofs of Service.
Prepare court filings and maintain meticulous case documentation.
Organize and manage case files with precision, including creating, hyperlinking, and updating both digital and hard copy files.
Oversee calendaring system, providing timely reminders for key deadlines, appointments, and due dates.
Draft and prepare correspondence for attorneys and clients.
Communicate with clients and class members to provide status updates on pending matters, directing inquiries to appropriate counsel when necessary.
Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate party.
Conduct detailed intake interviews with potential clients and provide initial guidance.
Coordinate and schedule conferences, meetings, appointments, and prepare relevant materials.
Assist with data analysis projects, ensuring the accurate collection and organization of information.
Coordinate with couriers, court reporters, videographers, and other external service providers.
Help with travel arrangements for attorneys, including booking air travel, hotel accommodations, and car rentals for mediations, depositions, and oral arguments.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation or complex legal matters.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in legal research, court filings, and legal software.
Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of legal terminology and court procedures.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with legal calendaring, document management, and preparation of legal correspondence.
