The Accounting Associate purpose is to manage day-to-day book-keeping, accounts receivable and accounts payable functionality.
This role will be based at EES LA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for timely payments.
- Track and reconcile incoming payments from clients, production companies, and vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to stage rentals, equipment rentals, and services.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies and communicating with vendors and clients regarding billing inquiries.
Payroll & Financial Processing:
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy of timekeeping records and compliance with labor laws.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and petty cash accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and forecasts as needed.
- Assist with budget tracking and cost analysis for various productions and facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal accounting regulations and tax laws.
- Work with external auditors and tax professionals during audits and tax preparation.
General Accounting & Administrative Support:
- Maintain organized financial records, both digital and physical.
- Assist with contract review related to client billing and vendor payments.
- Support management with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis.
Experience with AVID, RTPRO is desired.
Salary Range: $65-75,000.00
