Pokrajac Corporation is a General Engineering Contracting Company who has been in business for 40 years with offices/yards in California, Nevada, and Colorado. We specialize in grading, paving and underground utilities for large commercial and residential developments.
Currently our company has a number of active projects with our California & Nevada Division. With new projects approaching we are looking for loyal, qualified personnel to share in this ever-rising field of opportunity.
Qualifications:
- 3 years experience in accounting principles
- Highly Organized and Accurate

Must be knowledgeable in the following:
- General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- QuickBooks Desktop and/or other Construction Accounting Software
- Microsoft 365 Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams)
- Construction Operating Software (example: HCSS, Procore, Sage)
- Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam
- General Construction forms and operations
- Construction Pre-liens, Release Waivers, Stop Payments, Mechanic Liens, Etc.
- DMV/ Motor Carrier / DOT Requirements & Regulations.
- OSHA Regulations and Requirements
- US Dept of Labor & State of California Labor laws.
- Public Works Regulation and Requirements
Responsibilities Include:
- Bookkeeping under GAAP: AP, AR, Payroll (including Prevailing Wage), Adjustments, Reconciliations, Taxes, Forecasts, etc.
- Working directly with Project & Office Manager(s) to keep Bookkeeping and Field Operations in sync and to help forecast.
- Weekly, Monthly, Annual Financial Reports to owners/Management: (BS, P&L’s, WIP’s, Payroll, Forecasts, etc.)
- Taking and distributing meeting minutes to ensure tasks are being completed and important dates are being met.
- Communication Including: Letter writing, answering phones/emails, Greeting, and helping customers, employees, vendors. etc.
- Maintaining Vehicle and Equipment Files including: Titles, Registrations, insurances, permits.
- Maintaining all DOT Requirements.
- Maintaining Calendars and Task Lists
- Reviewing Accurate Field Input into Construction Software
- Updating Construction Software with new Employees and Equipment
- Processing new hire onboarding and maintaining and updating all requirements per the US Dept of Labor, California DIR & OSHA.
- Processing and Maintaining all Vendor and Customer Documents/Insurances/Releases.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Processing Applications / Forms
- Running Errands
- Maintaining an organized Filing system both physical and electronic.
- Enforcing and Complying with Company Policies and Procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
