Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding and fabricate industrial equipment following AWS D1.1 standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents
- Use hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts
- Ensure quality standards are met by identifying and correcting defects
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide effective solutions
- Be willing to learn additional skills, such as painting and assembly tasks
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication in a production shop environment
- Ability to obtain AWS 14.1 certifications for SMAW (stick) and FCAW (flux core)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Effective communication skills for collaboration across shifts
- Ability to work flexible hours, including 8-12 hour shifts and occasional weekends
- Physically capable of lifting 50-75 lbs and performing repetitive motions throughout the shift
