As we continue to grow, we seek a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive Staff Accountant to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with all levels of staff—including corporate counterparts, advisors, vendors, and executive leadership—while reporting directly to the COO.

About the Role
In this position, you'll serve as a key contributor within our accounting team, supporting our advisors—our internal “clients”—so they have the financial support and information they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices and communications: organize, scan, enter into SAGE, ensure proper documentation and approvals, and manage payments through our banking interface.
- Review and process recurring payable transactions per the monthly checklist and schedule.
Agent Payables, Receivables & Collections
- Manage accounts receivable and collections (experience in QuickBooks preferred).
- Process biweekly and monthly commission and payroll payments to agents, including Excel-based calculations and reconciliations.
- Manage agent receivables via credit card payments, commission offsets, or checks.
- Post agent collections to QuickBooks and reconcile with SAGE.
General Accounting
- Address agent inquiries related to commissions and agency payables/receivables.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
- Assist with preparation of financial reports, including:
o Financial SnapShot, Cash Reports, Disbursements
o Monthly financial statements and year-over-year comparisons
o Budgeting, forecasting, and tax estimates
Skills & Qualifications
- 1–3 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, and customer service orientation.
- Proficient in QuickBooks (desktop preferred) and Microsoft Excel; experience with SAGE is a plus.
- Basic tax knowledge or experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Motivated self-starter with the confidence and initiative to take on increasing responsibility.
