Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of construction projects, from budgeting to invoicing. This role requires proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and BuilderTrend, along with strong financial report writing skills. The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and providing insights into our financial health.
Responsibilities
- Setting up new projects in Job Cost and the necessary spreadsheets daily
- Processing invoices and tracking project expenses
- Working with project managers to evaluate financial progress and projections
- Investigating the project variances and submitting these variance reports to the Controller
- Overseeing and handling the creation and approval of all project-related billings to customers to foster good communication and avoid issues
- Reviewing project budgets, including fee structures, staffing, and work plan
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Managing payroll for construction employees and contractors
- Perform other duties as assigned by Controller
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in accounting/finance
- Experience in Construction or Industry with Progress billing (Preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with BuilderTrend and QuickBooks is desirable
- Strong work ethic, Strict attention to detail, highly organized, and efficient
