Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations for several small companies. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in financial software, making it essential for the candidate to have a solid background in bookkeeping and accounting.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare and maintain accurate journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, to support management decision-making.
- Maintain the general ledger by posting transactions and ensuring all accounts are reconciled.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to manage financial data efficiently.
- Assist with governmental accounting requirements as necessary, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Provide support during the preparation of budgets and forecasts, contributing to strategic planning efforts.
Skills
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting systems is essential for effective data management.
- Experience with governmental accounting is preferred but not required.
- Strong ability to perform journal entries accurately and efficiently.
- Expertise in balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial integrity.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software is a must.
- Excellent 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry tasks.
- Excel and Word knowledge is a must.
- Strong capabilities in financial report writing to communicate findings clearly.
- Technical accounting skills that demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
- Solid experience in general ledger accounting practices.
