Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal components, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet industry standards as well as sandblasting and component preparation. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for coating by sandblasting, cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment and apply coatings evenly to ensure a consistent finish.
- Operate sandblasting equipment to prepare components for powder coating.
- Monitor the curing process to ensure proper adhesion and quality of the powder coat.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and forklift equipment as needed for material handling and fabrication tasks.
Qualifications
- Experience in powder coating and sandblasting or similar roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with powder coating auto wheels/rims is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the trade.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and effectively in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality control.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Previous experience in materials handling or fabrication is advantageous but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
