We are seeking an experienced Creative Traffic Manager to join our dynamic team and play a key role in driving efficient project workflows and creative processes.
Position Overview:
The Creative Traffic Manager will oversee a high volume of marketing and creative projects, ensuring efficient workflows from initiation to completion. This role serves as a central hub for communication between marketing, creative, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and skilled at managing deadlines, resolving bottlenecks, and maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a high volume and variety of marketing projects from inception to completion by owning the project workflow, creative timelines, and expected deliverables.
- Liaise with marketing, creative, and other cross-functional teams to create and maintain traffic schedules with an efficient workflow.
- Ensure that each stage of a project progresses in a timely manner and is approved for completion by monitoring status, managing tasks and change requests, and resolving discrepancies.
- Identify potential risks or obstacles that could impact project timelines or deliverables and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks.
- Use project management tools to create, assign, and manage tasks for graphic designers, production artists, etc., while overseeing the feedback/approval process.
- Send approved artwork to external vendors and review incoming vendor proofs for final approval.
- Update the traffic log daily by tracking all active jobs, scheduling new projects, and marking completed ones.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of traffic management processes.
- Schedule and oversee weekly status meetings with task owners to prioritize, set milestones, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Track and manage communication with offsite artists to ensure all required information is submitted to commence projects.
- Distribute and share approved files requested by other departments collaborating with the creative team.
- Generate and disseminate traffic status reports to keep management informed.
- Coordinate cross-departmental dependencies by working with Purchasing, R&D and Regulatory teams to ensure all project requirements, such as item forms or artwork regulatory approvals, are met on time.
- Prepare monthly or quarterly reports, providing performance insights and process improvement recommendations based on tracked KPIs.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in traffic management within an in-house creative department, advertising agency, or design firm.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong sense of urgency, persistence, and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate multiple rounds of edits and changes.
- Proficiency with digital asset management systems (e.g., Canto, Bynder).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in Windows and Mac OS environments.
- Familiarity with print and digital production workflows is a plus.
