Job Summary
We are a leading manufacturer of HVAC Coils (Air Cooled Heat Exchangers) based in Chino, Ca. and are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing organization. The candidate must have experience in Design, Development, and Manufacturing of Tube and Fin type of coils specifically used in the HVAC/R industry.
We are looking for a candidate that thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to take on various tasks. The right candidate would eventually take over as the Engineering Manager for the organization leading a team of 5-7 Engineers and Designers.
Duties
- Provide HVAC Coil design proposals in response to various customer and sales inquires.
- Work with Designers and Drafters to review proposals and provide guidance and direction for optimum design of various types of Air Conditioning coils.
- Review and /or generate Drawings for design and manufacturing feasibility.
- Provide engineering support to facilities systems; driving upgrade projects from concept to completion, for continuous improvement of various processes as required.
- Responsible for HVAC, Open Air Closed Loop Evaporative Cooling Towers, Air Cooled Screw and Piston Chillers, Compressed Air Systems, Pumps, Air Handlers, Packaged Boiler units, Air Balancing and humidification systems.
- Work with customers and Sales Dept. to troubleshoot equipment that may not be functioning properly. This may include site visit to collect the proper information in order to enable proper analysis and diagnostics.
- Develop innovative technical solutions to complex problems and make recommendations for improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) and 5+ years of experience in HVAC Coil Design & Development.
- In depth understanding of fundamental understanding of HVAC components and basic coil manufacturing processes.
- Proficient with AutoCad, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and working knowledge of latest Windows operating system.
- Masters in mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Proven capability of working with minimal supervision.
- Experience interfacing successfully across various departmental levels
- Able to multi-task, adapt to change quickly. An analytical thinker and detail oriented.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
