A dedicated law firm in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Paralegal to provide critical support to a team of attorneys, assisting with case management, legal research, document preparation, and scheduling. The paralegal will handle employment law cases, including wage and hour class actions, and ensure timely and accurate filings for both state and federal courts. Salary Range: $30 / hour DOE
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- General case management, including filing and serving complaints
- Filing and serving documents for federal and state courts
- Scheduling appearances, remote hearings, and court reporters for depositions
- Managing legal calendars and deadlines
- Conducting legal research and data analysis as needed
- Maintaining and organizing client and case files
- Preparing hearing binders and supporting attorneys with case preparation
- Answering client inquiries and serving as an interpreter when needed
- Providing routine case updates to clients
Paralegal Requirements: - 2-5 years of civil litigation paralegal experience
- Experience in employment law, including wage and hour cases, is strongly preferred
- Fully bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred
- Paralegal certificate OR at least 2 years of paralegal experience is required
- Associate or bachelor's degree is required
- Experience working in a law firm is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in legal case management systems
