Purpose
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated recent accounting graduates to join our organization! We also encourage entry-level accountants to apply, especially those who are willing to revisit and strengthen their foundational skills.
We will provide comprehensive training to equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to excel in this role.
The Accounting Associate will join the Los Angeles Client Accounting Services Practice. This individual will collaborate with the global team to provide strategic support, such as producing and presenting client reports, analyzing financial data, and offering actionable insights as part of the daily work.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Review: Independently review, analyze, and determine the appropriate treatment for complex transactions for both individual and entity clients.
- Cash Management: Oversee regular payment runs, ensure adequate cash flow, and support timely and accurate payments.
- Period-End Closing: Complete period-end closing tasks, including preparing supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analyses to ensure accuracy.
- Client Reporting: Prepare and present monthly and quarterly reports for clients, collaborating with business managers and client representatives to deliver management accounts and ad hoc reports.
- Compliance: Conduct periodic payroll runs and filings for relevant clients. Provide timely information and collaborate with management to facilitate tax filing preparation.
Candidate Requirements
- 0-1 year of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent).
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam or currently pursuing CPA certification.
- Understanding of US GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- QuickBooks certification required within the first 30 days (Company will provide and cover costs).
- Strong attention to detail, diligence, and resourcefulness are essential.
- Must be highly analytical and able to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines with a proactive mindset and commercial awareness to understand client needs.
